The Coating Process
Step 1: Crack Filling and Concrete Testing
Before initiating any project, advanced concrete moisture readers are used to assess the need for additional protective measures, such as a moisture barrier, to protect the longevity of your investment. All cracks and seams are then filled to ensure a seamless finish for your coating, before applying a basecoat.
Step 2: Preparing the Concrete
The floor is prepared using state-of-the-art diamond grinding equipment and techniques for optimal coating adhesion. Grinders are equipped with two-stage HEPA filtration dust extractors to ensure thorough containment of even the finest particulates.
Step 3: Applying the Base coat
An industry-leading epoxy basecoat is applied to seal the concrete and provide a foundation for flake broadcast.
Step 4: Flake Broadcasting
Following basecoat application, your selected flake design is broadcast to create a visually striking finish.
Step 5: Removing Excess Flake
Once the base coat has dried, any excess flakes that have not fully cured to the base coat are scraped and collected.
Step 6: Applying the Top Coat
Finally, an industry-leading, UV-resistant Polyaspartic topcoat is applied, providing a strong, glossy finish with advanced anti-yellowing properties. This ensures your floor maintains its pristine appearance over time, despite exposure to sunlight.
